Belfast’s Lyric Theatre has announced its Christmas 2023 programme, and there’s something for all ages.

Hansel And Gretel from Friday, November 24th to Saturday, January 6th
First up and promising to be fun for all ages in a new take on the classic Hansel & Gretel. Written by Derry Girls star and playwright, Tara-Lynne O’Neill, this fresh look at the Bothers Grimm sees Hansel and Gretel joined by a mischievous little mouse called Monty as they tumble through their storybook and into the enchanted forest of technicolour. Together with a host of woodland friends they will take you on a magical tour to defeat the evil witch in her sweetie house.
For those a little bit older, Lyric favourites Grimes and McKee present Have Yourself A Scary Little Christmas.

The comic duo are to be joined by an incredible ensemble cast in the manor of Darkwood. It’s Christmas eve and TV psychic Nancy Nugent is ready to livestream the mysterious happenings within the manor house. But what if the ghosts are too ghastly even for her? Intriguing secrets and elusive guests and a sprinkling of holiday spookiness is promised to keep you all glued to your seats.
